Ownership

Every ANDRES employee receives 6-10% of salary annually in company stock — no cost to them. At a $135K salary, that's $10,800/year in equity. Add the 3-4% 401(k) employer match, and a five-year estimated equity per employee lands between $61,000 and $70,000.

Because ANDRES is a 100% S-Corporation ESOP, the company pays zero federal income tax — an estimated $1-2M+ retained in the company annually. That cash goes back into equipment, people, and project capability.

Retention

Most contractors lose two out of three people every year — 68.2% industry turnover. ANDRES keeps them.

ESOP contractors run less than half the industry’s turnover rate. At ANDRES, the vesting schedule locks in at 5–7 years — which means the people who stay longest are the ones with 10–15 years of solved problems behind them. That’s where the knowledge lives.

ANDRES project team on rooftop — the same crew, every project

"I've had such a great time working at ANDRES for the past 6 years! By working in preconstruction, we get to work on every project we build. I greatly appreciate our community at ANDRES; it's such a blessing to have coworkers who become close friends and celebrate life milestones together."

Courtney Roberts — Senior Preconstruction Engineer, 6 years

Continuity

Our leaders carry a combined 300+ years at one company. The PM who solved the rebar crisis at Cabana is the same PM who caught the scheme error at Knox Street. That kind of institutional memory doesn't exist at firms cycling through new hires every 18 months.

“I get to watch a drawing become a building. That never gets old. At ANDRES, the people around me have been doing this long enough that I’m learning from real experience — not a training manual. I want more women to see what I see: a career where what you build is standing there when you drive past it.”

Michelle Zupancich — Project Engineer, Dallas

Certainty

The Same Superintendent Shows Up

Not a new hire learning your project on the fly. The person who's been solving problems on ANDRES projects for 15, 20, 35 years. They know the subs. They know the inspectors. They know what's going to go wrong before it does.

Decisions Favor the Project

Employee-owners don't cut corners to hit a margin target for an outside investor. The $1-2M+ in annual tax savings goes back into equipment, people, and project capability — not distributions.

Turnover Doesn't Reset Your Team

The people you meet in preconstruction are the same people on your jobsite at closeout. Ten senior leaders average 26 years at the company. That continuity is the product — and ESOP is the mechanism that protects it.

What Clients See

ANDRES represents the gold standard of general contractors. They have demonstrated an uncanny ability to identify problems early and to solve them in a spirit of creativity, flexibility and team work.
